- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Olivia was sitting in her bedroom bored as ever. She couldn't think of anything to do. She sighed loudly and took out her cell phone to check the time. It was 2:30 pm. She already did her homework for the weekend, and she didn't have anything else to do. Her room and all of the house was clean. She was watching TV earlier, but she got bored of it very quickly. She then decided that she could go downstairs to see what her mom and her sister were doing. She walked out of her room, shutting the door behind her. As she walked slowly down the stairs she saw them watching TV too.
Olivia giggled silently at her mom and her sister. We all need lives she thought to herself. As she was walking down the steps her sister and mother were to mesmerized by the TV to notice her. She just smiled and rolled her eyes. She was in a black tank top and skinny jeans. She looked outside and finally figured out what to do. She smiled at herself in happiness for figuring it out. She was going to the park. Everyone said echo park was beautiful. She grabbed a thin red sweater with a belt on it, and put on her shoes. She walked out of the house without her mom noticing.
Olivia walked out of her house and got into her car. She wrapped her arms around herself and started to rub her hands on her arms due to the coldness of the car. She turned on the heat. Once it got warm enough, she pulled out of the driveway. She then saw in the window her mother looking at her with a confused and concerned face. Great. Now I'm Gonna hear it when I get home she thought in her mind. She just smiled and waved goodbye to her mother. She saw that her sister was smiling from the window. Her sister never knew how to sneak out, and Olivia always seemed to be able to.
Once Olivia got to the park she noticed that it was very beautiful. She saw some kids playing football in the distance. She smiled at them because they looked like they were having fun. She saw parents and adults sitting or laying on picnic blankets or benches to relax. She found a tree that was a bright green color. She smiled and walked over to it. Once she reached it, she sat in front of it. She took out her Ipod and picked a song from one of her play-lists. She then started mouthing the words, but not making a sound. She then closed her eyes in comfort and leaned back against the tree.

Ryan stared boredly out of his third story window. He had already finished his homework, thanks to his mom's consistent nagging, and he was completely bored. He couldn't watch TV because he was grounded, TV was the only thing his parents took away, and he couldn't go on the computer because his dad had taken it out of his room and had put it in his sisters room. 'So bored. I think I'll die of this sooner or later. If only my parents had boughten me that PS3 that I wanted. (His other one broke).' He thought.
"Ryan!!! Take me to the park! Now!!!" His sister Taylor screamed up the steps. "No, tell mom to! I'm busy kid." He screamed back. "You know moms at work! Take me now! Leah's at grandma's and I'm bored. My friends just said they were playing football at the park. Let's go!" She ordered me.
"Whatever. Get your stuff on. I'll take you for an hour and that's it!" He said.He got up and looked at him self in his full length mirror which was hanging on his door. He was wearing a tight blue cotton shirt that showed off his abs. He was also wearing a pair of faded blue jeans. He slipped on his old (week old) black nikes. His hair was ruffled and his eyes were jade. Minnie was sleeping comfortably on his bed and he slowly slipped out the door.
He walked down the second story stairs and into the living room and out the door. The wind felt good and refreshing to him. His impatient sister was waiting in the passenger seat. He opened the door and jumped in his Mercedes Benz. It was dark blue with custom chrome rims.
He slowly pulled out and drove down the road to the park. When they arrived Taylor jumped out the car and ran to the boys who were playing football. He got out of the car and scanned the park for a place to sit. He found a bench that was parallel from a girl sitting under a tree. Her hair cascaded down her shoulders perfectly. It framed her face well and her complexion was flawless. She looked about 5'5 and she smiled to herself. He nearly blushed at her perfect smile.
'I thought i did that to girls. I've never had this happen to me.' He thought 'Time to make a move.' He thought and sat on the bench he chose the song ' Transform Ya' out of his playlist on his I-phone and stole glances at the girl while mouthing the words mindlessly.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - As Olivia was trying to decide if she wanted to get up for a short walk and stretch, her song ended. She sighed slightly and pouted. She was too comfortable to even open her eyes. Who knew trees were soooo comfortable she thought to herself and smiled in happiness. It was all because of the tree. She remembered that her song was off. She was about to change it, but it automatically changed. She didn't end up listening to the song anymore. She fluttered open her eyes and looked around the park to see who was around.
She found herself looking back to where the kids where playing football. Instead of the boys, there was one girl playing with them. It was close by to where she was sitting. She smiled at them again, glad that they were happy. She looked at the girl who looked about 12 or 13. Olivia was glad that a girl was playing football. Maybe the girl would make a statement that girls could do anything. She was thinking about getting a water bottle from the vending machine a little ways from there, when she saw near the kids, a guy who looked around her age looking at her for a second, and then looking away.
Olivia had to admit, he was cute. He had dirty blond hair that was ruffled. His eyes, from what Livy could see, were a jade color. He was cute, but Olivia would never say that out loud. She knew herself that she could hardly even speak when it came to anyone new to her. It took her awhile to trust her friends. She rolled up her sleeve and looked at her bruises on her arm. She couldn't believe her own father did that to her. She rolled the sleeve back down, and felt something hit her head.
Now Olivia was looking in the direction were it was coming from. On the ground beside her was a ball, a football no less. She rubbed her head due to the impact. She saw the kids that were playing football before, now looking at her with shocked expressions. Olivia smiled at them and got up from her spot. She walked over to them and said "I believe this is yours" while smiling. They all looked at her and the girl said "I'm so sorry! We were just playing and the ball just slipped". She kept saying sorry over and over again. Olivia laughed and said "It's fine, Really" and smiled at them.

The song faded and he changed it to Bedrock and look up once more at the girl. This time he caught her eye and held it for a little less than 5 seconds. He blushed slightly and tried to re-compose himself."I believe this is yours"He heard the girl say when the song changed. He looked up and saw the girl handing the football to his sister."I'm so sorry! We were just playing and the ball just slipped". She kept saying sorry over and over again.
He was mad now. His sister was never responsible and now she hit a girl in the head with a ball! She laughed and said "It's fine, Really" and smiled at them "Yo Taylor, come here!" He called. Taylor whipped her head toward him and frowned. "I'm busy Ryan!" She said. She grabbed the ball and the kids ran back to their game. "Stupid kid. That's the last time I bring her to the park." He mumbled. People where looking at him and the girl.
He looked at the girl and debated in his head if he should go talk to her. 'Maybe she'll come over here. But she's probably shy. That would explain why she didn't yell at my sister. I would have.' He thought. He contemplated it again and decided to do it.
He stood up and tried to non-nonchalantly walk over but he ended up stumbling and landing on his face. He heard people laugh and felt their stares bore into the back of his head. 'I'm so pathetic. I'm usually so cool around cute girls. What's wrong?' He asked himself.
He had grass stains on his jeans. He jumped up and walked over to the tree she was sitting under. "Hey. Sorry about my sister hitting you with the ball. She's a little annoying sometimes. My names Ryan Blake. You?" He asked. He fiddled with his shirt sleeve nervously. Not only did this girl make him nervous but she made him blush. Something no girl has ever did to him. Quite an accomplishment.
A blush made it's way to his cheeks and he felt alienated. Normally he had a girl in the palm of his hand and he could choose any girl he wanted. But this one was different. She was so, well, beautiful and she didn't even seem the least bit interested in him. Her eyes sparkled and her hair waved gorgeously.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - As Olivia was looking at the guy from the tree she was sitting in, he caught her gaze. She looked at him while he looked at her. She immediately saw the faint, but still noticeable blush on his cheeks. She smiled at him and looked away once it was about 5 seconds. She looked down at her feet and took a deep breath. Even though it was only 5 seconds, it felt like eternity. It felt as if they knew each other for all of their lives. The regular Olivia would probably blush in shyness or walk away and fall. She felt as if she could be not shy with hi, as if they were best friends already.
Olivia walked to the girl. She noticed that she looked very similar to the guy that she was looking at located on the bench. She switched gazes from her to him and figured that they must be siblings. As she looked at him for the final time she noticed that he looked mad. She put on a look of confusion. It was only a ball...
[/i] she thought to herself. He shouldn't have gotten ad over a stupid reason. "Yo Taylor, come here!" She heard the boy say. So the girls name must be Taylor. She smiled at Taylor while she turned her head around. . "I'm busy Ryan!" She said back to him. Olivia saw that Taylor took the ball from her. She smiled at her and waved goodbye. She then started to walk back to her spot near the tree. So his name is Ryan She thought to herself. Once she got back to the tree she noticed eyes at her from every angle. She didn't know why they were staring at her. She blushed due to everyone looking at her and sat and looked up at the sky. She heard laughter near here. She looked around and saw that 'Ryan' was on the ground. I guess he tripped She thought to herself. She was about to walk over to him, but he got up. She noticed grass stains on his jeans. She smiled at him and then looked at the ground. While Olivia was looking down at the ground and staring at her feet she heard footsteps walk toward her. She still looked at the ground, trying to not notice them. She then heard a familiar voice. Ryan she thought in her mind. She looked up and head him say "Hey. Sorry about my sister hitting you with the ball. She's a little annoying sometimes. My names Ryan Blake. You?" . She smiled up at him and looked into his jade eyes. She was positive that he was cute. She just hoped that she wouldn't fall for him. The last thing she needed is a boyfriend. She had enough to worry about with her mom, her sister, her past, and school work. She watched him as he blushed and fiddled with his sleeve. He seemed nervous. "I'm Olivia" [/b]She said in a soft voice. "I'm Olivia" She said in a soft voice. 'Olivia.' He thought. What a beautiful name. He cleared his throat and looked into her eyes "That's the second time this week she hit someone. You sure your OK?" He asked. She seemed to shy away from his glance before. 'Maybe mom will call and we can leave and save me from embarrassment.' He thought. Praying that his phone would ring.
But of course it didn't and he wanted to hide, which was unusual. He chuckled slightly. "Listen, I won't lie to you. I've been sitting on that bench trying think of something to say to you. As you can tell I didn't think of much. I just wanna know if you maybe wanna go get some ice cream some time." He said awkwardly.
"Just so you know, I'm not normally this awkward." He said. 'I'm trying some honestly for once. Let's see where this gets me.' He thought. He looked at her once more. Hoping not to catch her eye. 'What's wrong with me?' He asked himself in his head.
The wind shifted and his hair blew gently. His heart beat like wild fire. Glad she couldn't hear it, Ryan took a seat next to her. His mind couldn't help but wonder. He snapped back to attention and shook his head slightly. Trying to clear his head but it didn't work.
He noticed a lone yellow tulip by the base of the tree. He was never the type to be romantic but Olivia seemed to shy to be able to be caught by him with his usual ways. But one big question stuck in his mind. 'Why is she here all alone?' He wondered.
He tugged the tulip out of the ground and absent mindfully twirled it. He looked over at Olivia and handed it to her. Hoping she wouldn't think he was some jerk who just wanted to get some. 'Normally? Yes. Well sorta. Maybe.' He thought. He imagined it in her hair. Contrasting perfectly with her hair.It would look like he had picked it and dipped it in a pot of melted gold.
'A tulip fit for a princess.' He thought. 'Not that she looks far from one.' He smiled and looked over and tried to catch her eye. He wanted her to look deep within his jade colored eyes. He wanted her to be star struck by him. Ryan wanted for her to look at him the way he looked at her. As an angel, a goddess -well a god-, or even as someone people should envy. That was the way he viewed her.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Olivia looked down at the ground, pretending to be interested by it. This was normal. Her shyness always was normal. You couldn't really blame her. With her hardly talking to anyone and almost dying in her past, you really couldn't blame her at all. She heard Ryan clear his throat. She looked up at him, only to be trapped in his eyes. She looked him in the eyes and was almost trapped in them. She slowly, but surely, blinked away from his gaze, and looked back to his little sister that was playing football. Was he trying to get her to fall over him? It was all too complicated. After all, they just met.
Livy looked back at Ryan, making sure not to look to far into his perfect jade eyes. She heard him say "That's the second time this week she hit someone. You sure your OK?" Olivia chuckled and said "Yeah. I'm perfectly fine. Don't worry. I won't file a lawsuit against you or something like that"
[/b]. She then laughed a little at her little joke. He seemed worried, and she didn't want him to worry. She was fine, simple as that. She looked at him as he chuckled slightly. She smiled at him. Olivia heard Ryan say "Listen, I won't lie to you. I've been sitting on that bench trying think of something to say to you. As you can tell I didn't think of much. I just wanna know if you maybe wanna go get some ice cream some time." She looked at him straight in the eyes this time. She was shocked that he just asked her out. Blood slowly crept up her cheeks, which formed a slight blush. "U-uh..." She stuttered out of her mouth. Now she was to the extreme shy level. She was gonna say something, so she opened her mouth, but nothing would come out. She just shook her head no at him and looked at the ground again, embarrassed. She just wasn't looking for anyone right now. It wasn't that Olivia didn't want to go out with him, it was just that she was to shy for her own good. She looked at him when he said "Just so you know, I'm not normally this awkward." She chuckled at him and smiled. She looked at him while he looked at her. He seemed even more nervous now. "It's all fine" She told him. She looked at him while his hair blew gently in the slight breeze that came by. folded her arms across her chest and rubbed her arms that had goosebumps now. She watched as Ryan twirled a yellow tulip in his hand. When he handed it to Olivia, she smiled at him. She tried to speak, and say thanks or thank you to him, but nothing would come out. She didn't want to seem rude or anything by not saying anything, because yes, Olivia was to nice to be mean. She gently leaned over to Ryan, who was now sitting next to her, and kissed him on the cheek for a second or two. When she pulled away, she blushed and looked at the ground, her hair in her face so he couldn't see the blush that had occurred on her cheeks. Once Olivia's blush faded away, she looked at Ryan in the eyes and said "Thank You"[/b]. She then put the tulip in her hair, not wanting it to get ruined and fly out of her hands due to the wind.
