( R O L E P L A Y S A M P L E )ryleigh didn't have an easy life like most pretty girls did in new york. she was born in chicago, illinois and everyone knows that the streets around there are hard to survive in. yet, ryleigh did it. she came from drug addicts and drinkers, her mother was terrible and her father was hardly ever around. they constantly fought, and ryleigh was stuck up every night listening to them bicker and argue, their words barely understandable because of the slurring from the drunken stupor the adults were in. she had been homeless more than once, and it wasn't something that was fun. it was hard as hell, and you rarely got to eat unless you somehow got money either from prostitution or selling drugs or anything you could do to line at least the smallest part of your wallet with money. she stayed with a friend the first time she was homeless, and she was glad that he let her live with him. the second time she was gotten pregnant and left, getting her own place. the only problem was that when the baby was born, the hospital bill killed her and she got kicked out of her house. she gave her daughter for a friend to watch until she got back up on her feet, which actually took her quite a bit of time. no, she had never had a good life. she always vowed to give her daughter a better life then she had ever gotten, to give her what she deserved and give her everything she wanted; for her to be everything her mother was not. so far, that hadn't happened. sure, she kept a roof over her daughter's head. but her daughter didn't have a father, she didn't have everything she wanted even though she said she did, her daughter's life wasn't perfect. she knew her daughter loved her no matter what her mother was like and prayed to god her daughter would always love her, but no one knew how much ryleigh really loved her daughter. people say that their bond with their child is like no other - that is how it is with ryleigh. she loves her child more than anyone will ever know, and a part of her tells her that the strongest bond she'll ever have is with her very own daughter. kaitlyn was the only thing that kept ryleigh living every day; that kept her going in her life no matter what kind of hell she was going through. if the boss had given her hell that day or the customers had been terrible, none of that mattered when she got home and saw that little green eyed, brown hair little four year old running into her mother's arms. it washed away all the hell ryleigh had been through; she loved her daughter more than anyone would ever think was humanly possible. with having such a strong outer shell, her weakness was her daughter. she just couldn't find a way to say no to the little girl when she used puppy dog eyes. they were just too cute; just way too cute.
despite the fact that ryleigh was a hard working young woman with her hands full thanks to a constantly hyper four year old, she still found time to have a social life at the same time. she didn't party reguarly, but once every week or three times a month she would go out and party. usually after her shift was over and she went home and got a shower, she'd ask one of her friends to babysit kaitlyn while she went out to party. she never stayed out too long, always making sure to be home by at least an hour and a half past midnight to pick up kaitlyn, put her back to bed and get about six and a half hours of sleep until her next shift. see, she worked seven days a week at the hotel's resturant, so they kept her extremely busy. but she was only twenty one, and like every twenty one year old, she wanted a life. she knew she wasn't being the best mother she could be by asking a friend to babysit her daughter while she had a life, but she always made sure to leave her daughter with a friend she trusted who herself had a little kid or a kid sibling around katie's age. it wasn't like she was leaving her little girl at home by herself until all hours of the night, but she knew that being a mom was a full time job and she needed to take care of her daughter. but partying at the one reason she was a mom in the first place. she had been at a party one night, a big party. of course she had came; it was a party that you could only attend if you were a senior or invited by a senior, and at the time she was dating the high school quarterback. yeah, it's like one of those dramatic teen movie things. she wasn't a cheerleader though; ask a matter of fact, she hated every single cheerleader that was on the squad at her high school and they hated her right back. she could honestly care less though, since if any of them wanted to start any shit she knew very well she could whip their ass. or just threaten to break their nose - more than likely it was a christmas present. well, he had obviously invited his beautiful girlfriend to the party. she gladly obliged, driving her own car as transportation. after about ten drinks got successfully soaked into her system, her and her boyfriend left the large crowd for some "private time" in his vehicle. i guess you can guess what goes down after that, because she ends up finding out she's pregnant a week later. her boyfriend left her for the skinny head cheerleading unpregnant bitch, leaving ryleigh to become a single mom. what a way to end her high school year, huh? walking up on the stage at graduation six months pregnant. can you say aching back and swollen ankles?
and now it was time to party. she lifted her daughter up onto her hip with ease, holding her with on arm as she grabbed her keys and phone, walking out of her apartment. she set her daughter down in her car seat, buckeling her before shutting the car door and walking to the driver's side. opening the door and sliding in, she put the keys in the engine and started up her car. it wasn't the best looking vehicle, but it looked good enough and it got her where she was going with ease. as she arrived at her friend's house, she saw her friend sitting on the porch. she smiled and stepped out, walking over and getting her daughter out of the car. kaitlyn ran to the stairs of the porch, running up and hugging the woman before running inside to play with her friend, who was only a year above her. kaitlyn! ryleigh called after her, shaking her head and walking over to her friend. giving her a gentle hug, she smiled thankfully. thanks for watching katie tonight. she was really excited to be coming over. she said. her friend smiled, telling her it was no problem. ryleigh smiled before leaning in the door, her daughter immediately running up to her. ill be back later tonight, okay baby girl? she said. katie nodded, kissing her mothers cheek and telling her she loved her before running back to the play. ryleigh smiled and left, giving her friend a gentle hug before doing so. she climbed in her car and sped off, arriving at the club within seconds. she had been here several times before since arriving in new york, and personally liked this place a lot better then most others. she walked to the bar, buying herself a quick drink and downing it within seconds, feeling the pressures of her day slowly melt away as the liquid slid smoothly down her throat. she strutted onto the dance floor, confidant that she would draw attention as her body swayed to the rythmn of the music. dancing was something she had always known how to do, but never really tried to go professional with it. in all honesty she disliked most celebrities and the way the lived in the glory of their lives; so far, all the ones she had ever met were stuck up and just plain rude.
