loud; zane is loud, and can be obnoxiously so, especially when he's got alcohol in his system. he really can't help it though, it's kind of in his nature. he's basically been that way ever since he was a kid, and no amount of telling him to quiet down or use his inside has or ever will worked.

alcoholic; he has a drinking problem, no matter if he will admit it or not, which he most likely won't. it's hard to find him not at least buzzed at some point in the day, even if he's just staying at home for the night and not partying, which he will do on occasion.

rebellious; he's a pretty rebellious guy, not liking to do what people tell him to do, and it has the tendency to get him into trouble, especially when he's drunk. he's been arrested on more than one occasion for resisting arrest and public drunkeness and things of that nature.

immature; his maturity level is not the best. he laughs at the stupidest things, and finds a lot of silly sexual inuendos to be just absolutely hilarious. it tends to be a little irritating sometimes, but it's just a part of who he is.

sweetheart; through everything else, he's a real big sweetheart, but only to those certain few people who know him extremely well. he's not going to go out of his way to be nice to just anyone; you have to have a certain level of friendship established with him before you see his true colors

Zane was born into an already broken household. His father was a drunk, his sister was a paranoid girl from a young age, and his mother was a pill popping bitch. What a great environment for someone like Zane to grow up in, yet grow up he did, and in the completely wrong manner. At a young age it was evident that he was picking up slightly on his parents bad habits, though they never really did anything to stop it. The only thing he never picked up on was his dad's abusive behaviour; it turned out to be something Zane absolutely despised, and the one thing he hated his dad for. Elementray and middle school were eventful in themselves; he was getting sent to the principal's office as early as sixth grade for not going to class simply because he didn't feel like going. His parents never bothered to correct the problem at the source, so it only continued to grow. As he entered into high school, things got rough for the boy. He began to party, and he had his first taste of alcohol when he was just fourteen years old; and immediately, he knew it was something he would have trouble ever giving up.

He was right. Throughout his few years in high school, he cut classes and partied constantly, often showing up to school drunk. Eventually the school had had enough of Zane's behavious and kicked him out. Needless to say, he never returned, finding that school just wasn't his thing. He was far to rebellious for the structure. With this newfound freedom came more time to party, and more time to drink, something that would be disastrous for the now fifteen year old boy. It soon became a dangerous addiction, something he would never admit he craved and couldn't break away from, but something he knew was causing a problem. After a couple of months, he chose to quit drinking, and stuck to it like glue as best be could until close to his seventeenth birthday. Now a sophomore in high school, his friends threw a party to celebrate his birthday early, and as soon as they brought out the alcohol, his choice to never touch alcohol again flew out the window, and he fell back into the dangerous cycle he had been in only a few short years before. Only this time, he was traveling hard and fast down a dangerous road. A couple of weeks after his seventeenth birthday, he dropped out of high school and left his parents house, taking all the money he had saved from years of working at the grocery store in the center of town.

His rebellious ways and party attitude had been getting him into trouble quite often, and he had been to jail on more than one occasion for things like public drunkeness and destruction of public property, amonst numerous other things. His childhood friend, Ellie, had stood by his side through it all, being his guiding light when he didn't know how he was going to make it anymore. He was thankful for her, and was grateful for her, despite the fact that she never approved of and constantly worried about his drinking habits. She knew the ins and outs of his life; about his abusive father, uncaring mother, and crazy sister. He couldn't deny, the girl was his best friend, and he was in love with her. The years passed by quickly after he dropped out of high school, and he worked his way up to assistant manager of the grocery store. Now, at twenty years old, he's still the assistant manager and is still drinking and partying like there's no tomorrow.
