( P E R S O N A L I T Y )ditzy; Sophia is a bit, well, ditzy. She doesn't get most jokes, and a lot of things go over her head. It's quite endearing though, and suits her well. It's probably the one thing people like most about her. As a result, since most things go over her head, she rarely ever gets her feelings hurt unless someone is just blatantly mean to her.
loyal; She's very loyal, especially to her friends. She'd never leave them to fend for themself in any situation; she's the type of girl to stick up for her friends, no matter what, and she won't hesitate in doing so either. Basically, to get to one of her friends, you'd have to go through her, because she's just as protective as she is loyal.
partier; The girl's got a bit of a wild streak in her. While it doesn't completely ruin her "good girl" persona, it definitely taints it a little. She doesn't party extremely often, but when she does, she goes at it fast and hard as if she were a pro, which she might as well pretty much be. Her alcohol tolerance is pretty high for a girl of her size who doesn't drink constantly.
passionate; Sophia is a passionate girl, throwing every part of herself into everything, especially her paintings. As a result, her art often has a very distinct eye catching style that many people like. She's already sold a few of her pieces at art conventions, and is slowly becoming known as an artist.
kind hearted; She's overall a sweetheart, with barely a mean bone in her body. She's fairly softspoken and rarely raises her voice, but while being soft spoken she can still manage to be firm. She would never intentionally hurt a person's feelings, and she tries to treat people as she would like to be treated, though she fails at it sometimes. After all, she's only human.
eye catching; Let's face it, there's just something about the girl that turns heads. She doesn't consider herself anything too special, but she has a certain quality about her that makes boys and girls alike look twice. It's impossible to put a finger on what it is about her that causes people to do that, though, and she would rather not pay much attention to it. She likes to keep thinking that she's just a simple girl.
unjudgemental; She doesn't judge anyone for anything they have done. People have made mistakes, just as she has, and she considers herself to be no better than the next person. No one quality makes one person better than another in her opinion, and she sticks to it like glue. As a result, she's a fairly well liked girl, and has friends of all different sorts.
temperamental; Slightly moody would be a way to describe Sophia on a bad day; you know, one of those days where absolutely nothing goes right from the very second you wake up. On those days, she's a snappy, annoyed, temperamental monster that everyone minus her closest friends will want to avoid, because any little thing can set her off. These days, though few and far between they may be, are nothing short of a disaster.
committment phobic; Due to the things that have happened in her past, she hates being in relationships. No guy has proven to her that he is worth her time. She has problems with letting men touch her, even in a friendly manner, and there are days when she will demand that none of them touch her. Committment is definitely her weakest point, and until a boy comes into her world and shakes things up and turns everything upside down and proves to her that he's worth it, she won't be dating anyone.

( H I S T O R Y )April ninth was the happiest day on the face of the earth for David and Farrah Lovell. After seven miscarriages and almost losing their eighth unborn baby, little Sophia Elisabeth Lovell was brought, screaming, into the world. Her mother would always say that her daughter's screams was music to her ears. At first, the road was very rocky. You see, Sophia was born two months premature by cesarean section after Farrah started hemmoraghing. As a result, the little girl was stuck with a compromised immune system for the first four years of her life, staying sick almost constantly, but with never anything more than a small cold, the occasional flu, and one bout of the chicken pox. Once she reached five years old, her immune system began to improve and she began to explore the outside world a lot more, and soon discovered the joys of sidewalk chalk, doodling endlessly on the sidewalk after her kindergarten classes ended for the day. Her mother would often sit proudly at the window in her art room, painting, while she watched her daughter draw on the pavement until she was called inside. It was very clear that she had inherited her mother's love for drawing, and Farrah was eager to see if the little girl had also inherited a love for painting as well. A couple of years later, at her seventh birthday party, her mother presented her daughter with a child's easel and several pallets for painting. The joy was evident on the girl's face, and she soon confirmed her mother's curiosity; she had indeed inherited the love of painting.
But that's childhood stuff. Let's fastforward a bit, shall we? You see, Sophia's elementary school years were quite uneventful, as were her middle school years. High school is where things began to get interesting. Being a very smart girl, she skipped the eighth grade and went straight into the ninth grade at thirteen years old. It was new, exciting, and very fast paced. With her outgoing and easy attitude and down to earth behaviour, Sophia made friends very quickly with everyone in her class, and even a few kids that were older than her. She never discriminated against anyone, considering her parents had always taught her not to, so she made friends with everyone, no matter what kind of person they were said to be. During her ninth grade year, at fourteen years old, she got her first boyfriend, and ended up dating him for eight long months. After refusing to give him her virginity for their ninth month, he broke up with her. She was heartbroken, but she bounced back quickly, telling herself there was no need to mourn over such a stupid boy. It was then that she made the vow that she would wait until she was ready for sex. Not long after she turned fifteen, her mother's brother moved to Los Angeles to further his acting career. Never having met the man before, Sophia was promptly introduced to him, and she immediately knew something was not right about him. Little did she know how correct her intuition was. Three months later, while home alone doing her homework, her uncle came into their house, drunk and belligerent, yelling about things that made no sense. Scared half to death, Sophia hid herself in her closet and closed her eyes, hoping he would just think nobody was home and would leave.
She was wrong. He found her shortly after, curled up in the closet. Angered that she would have the nerve to hide from him, he grabbed her and dragged her out of the closet and proceeded to rob her of the one thing she would never be able to get back; her virginity. As he stumbled away after the act was finished, she heard the front door open and slam closed and an angry man's voice bellowing through the house. It was her father, followed by police. Their neighbor had heard Sophia's high pitched screams while walking her dog, and had immediately called the police, then David himself. Farrah's brother was arrested on spot, and he later went to jail for breaking and entering, among the other things he had done that night. Sophia was taken to the hopsital, and though she was alright physically, mentally and emotionally, she was broken. She fell into a depression afterwards, and stopped painting for two straight years. It was a contest that broke the spell, and when she was seventeen years old, she picked up a paintbrush again and started to paint all over. Almost immediately, the depression seemed to disappear, and it seemed that she would recover and return to her old self. A year has passed since she picked up that paintbrush again, and Sophia is now eighteen years old. She is still coping with what happened to her, and she has her days where it gets the best of her, but she is well on the way to recovery. She refuses to be in a relationship, and is waiting patiently for a boy to come along and shake up her world and show her things she had never thought imaginable.
