( R O L E P L A Y S A M P L E )There were a lot of average, run of the mill rainy day activities one could think of participating in. Boards games, reading, movies, chill time with friends. But then, there were a lot of not so average rainy day activities, too. Like body surfing at the beach naked or participating in epic mud slides down hills with your friends. Needless to say, Ava Winchester liked the latter half better. But then, that was how she always was. When the rest of the world was down and out because of bad weather, she was finding things to do outside because that was where she thrived. Her energy was infectious, and she often had people coming out with her whether they wanted to or not. That was just the way she was - brutally honest, entrancing, persuasive, bold. And not to mention sexy, which helped her counterparts of the opposite sex tag along, especially when there was nudity involved. That day, however, Ava had been at a loss for what to do for the longest time. She’d felt kind of crappy at the start of the day, but that was only because she’d had a rather rough night the night before. Her night terrors had not been few and far in between lately, which was bittersweet - it meant she was sleeping more, but it also meant that she wished she still couldn’t sleep at all. Sure, there were pills she could take, but she didn’t like to take them. The side effects made her moody and tired all the time, even if she could sleep the entire night through. Ava could sleep when she died, or at least, that’s what she always told herself.
Without needing to really say why, she wanted out of her house that day. It was suffocating to her, and she needed air. But for the first half of the day it was overcast, foggy, and rainy. Towards mid afternoon, the rain stopped, but Ava still didn’t know what she wanted to do. She would go out to the air field, but she didn’t feel very comfortable flying in the rain yet. So, she decided to busy herself online doing homework for school. Ava hadn’t realized she left her messenger open when it dinged, and she glanced at the person wanting to talk to her, giving a wry smile. Harrington Ford. Of course. She had met the boy a little ways back, purely by accident, and had offered to show him around LA because he was new in town. They’d spawned some sort of strange friendship after that, mostly of him wanting to get in her pants and her shutting him down. He hadn’t seemed to have gotten the message yet, but for some reason, Ava couldn’t bring herself to get tired of his constant onslaughts. He amused her, and he had moments of intensity that intrigued her, where he said things so deep that she just felt the need to get to know him better. So, she offered to kick his ass at video games. It wasn’t outside, but anything was better than her house at the moment. However, as their conversation winded down, she realized something else that they could do. He had mentioned the beach… so of course, Ava thought of her favorite beach activity - skinny dipping. No one would be out on such a cold day, and Ava had always been one for doing daring things; she knew the swells were probably a little rough, but felt no fear, anyway. Just another thing about her, it was like her second nickname besides ‘Danger’ - she was often times considered to simply be fearless.
Though Harry refused to go in the water with her at the time, she knew she could wear him down. When she arrived at the their designated meeting spot, in sweat pants and a sweatshirt, her long blonde hair blowing out behind her with a gray beanie on her head, she looked all over for him. A couple minutes passed, and she was beginning to grow a bit miffed. But then she heard his cultured voice coming from behind her, and she turned with a smile. The way he spoke cracked her up, it was always so formal. Like he wasn’t talking to some college student who used words like ‘totes’ incessantly. Like he was talking to a past president or something. Ava couldn’t help but smile every time he opened his mouth, and for a while they just walked, talking, just because Ava wanted to hear his voice. She couldn’t quite explain why she did, but it soothed her restless spirit, caused from the night before. However, after a while, she’d had enough of talking and wanted to do something a little more fun. Proving her persuasive with a correct tone and a well placed hand (use your imagination), she coerced him into agreeing to skinny dip with her. She peeled off her clothes, no shame involved, and took off towards the water, entering the surf easily, even though the water caused goose bumps to raise on her skin. She gazed back onto the beach, a challenge clear in her eyes, until Harry finally removed his own clothes and joined her. Laughing, they continued in the water for almost a half an hour, chasing after each other, and, of course, body surfing. The experience wouldn’t be complete without it.
After a while, however, they were both chattering and retreated back to their sand filled clothes laid out to rest on the beach. Ava slid into hers, holding her under garments in her hands, not wanting to get them wet. Together, they walked back to his huge home, one reminiscent of hers back in Nashville. It left a bitter aftertaste in her mouth as a wave of home sickness washed through her. She brushed the feeling back with a sigh, plastering a smile on her face and demanding the use of his shower and to have her clothes tossed in the washing machine. Of course, her host had her things taken care of, and led her to the shower. Ava turned to him, to thank him, and gave a sigh. He had that strange come hither look in his eyes again - the exact same look he got every time he tried to get in her pants. Immediately, Ava opened her mouth, saying in that smooth Southern lilt of hers, ”No. You are not getting in the shower with me.” She smiled, putting her hands on her hips and waiting for him to take his leave from the bathroom. He attempted again to convince her it was the best idea, but Ava just shook her head, ”Sorry, but no. I prefer to take my showers alone, and even if I didn’t…” She gave him a cool once over, and it finally got him to leave with a scowl on his face.
Shaking her head with a smile, Ava got inside the shower, letting the warm water run down her as she began to clean herself of the saltwater and sand. She washed her long hair, rinsed, then finally turned off the hot water. She wrapped the towel he had left hanging over the shower door for her around her, stepping into the bathroom only to find Harry there. She raised an eyebrow, cocking her head to the side. ”I hope you weren’t standing there the entire time, or else I may have to hurt you.” Her tone had an air of jest about it, but you couldn’t to too sure. She moved out of the way, studiously ignoring him as he undressed a foot away from her and got into the shower himself, focusing on drying. The steam from the shower thankfully fogged up the glass, and she could focus on drying her hair instead of sneaking peeks at Harry’s anatomy. She slid into her underwear and bra, sighing as the shower water ran and ran. She laid her towel on the counter, frowning, ”Harry, I swear I think you’re a girl. I only know females who take such long showers.” She called out, before walking into his room, the cooler air washing over her skin and causing her to shiver. She began looking around, at pictures of him and his family, not noticing the water turning off or anything. From the pictures, Harrington Ford seemed like your stereotypical rich boy - but why was it that Ava Winchester did not think this was the case at all from the things he said sometimes? Curiosity peaked, she continued her glances around the room. Anna Karenina and Crime and Punishment? Just some light reading? Ava frowned, picking up a few of the books by his bedside table, reading the backs, completely unaware of what was coming up behind her.
